18-story luxury condo tower breaks ground in downtown Sarasota

Sarasota will soon welcome a luxury condominium development to its downtown waterfront.

Miami-based Property Markets Group and Sarasota-based MoneyShow recently broke ground on One Park Sarasota, an 18-story tower with 86 units.

The developers plan to pair up again soon on One Park West next door. Both developments are part of The Quay, an emerging urban district along 14 acres of Sarasota’s waterfront. The neighborhood — expected to include over 189,000 square feet of commercial space — will also boast an Ocean Prime location and already includes a Ritz-Carlton Residences and an 18-story condo called Bayso Sarasota.

One Park Sarasota will be the more luxurious option of PMG and MoneyShow’s condos. Kevin Maloney, founder and CEO of PMG, called One Park Sarasota a “truly premier residential destination to The Quay.”

“We are confident it will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of elevated living along Florida’s Gulf Coast,” Maloney said in a statement.

Floor plans range from 2,569 square feet to 3,996 square feet. The tower will include over 40,000 square feet of resort-style amenities and 5,000 square feet of retail. Amenities include saunas, a spa, a private theater and a golf simulator.

Prices for units start at $2.7 million.

One Park Sarasota was once supposed to be connected with One Park West via a breezeway, but the 12th Judicial Circuit Court nixed that plan when it said the developers couldn’t have the air rights. The two towers will instead be built separately.

Juneau Construction Co. will be the general contractor for One Park Sarasota, and Hoyt Architects designed the project.
