Cook Out plans St. Pete restaurant

Cult favorite fast-food chain Cook Out has secured more real estate in the Tampa Bay region — this time in St. Petersburg.

Cook Out paid $2.6 million for a 3,193-square-foot restaurant property at 9595 Fourth St. N that was previously home to Boston Market, according to a deed filed Tuesday in Pinellas County. It is the third piece of real estate Cook Out has acquired in the Tampa Bay region this year as it plots its expansion into Florida. Its other purchases were former Boston Market stores in Carrollwood and near the University of South Florida.
