RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Greenlane, drive-thru salad restaurant, ready to open in St. Pete The salad drive-thru concept will open at 8001 Fourth St. N. in St. Petersburg, helping to fulfill the startup's growth ambitions after launching in Tampa last year.
This will be the company's third overall location, with other restaurants on Gandy Boulevard and Dale Mabry Highway.
Fourth Street offers a similar upside with proximity to the Gateway area and daily traffic counts of over 30,000 vehicles. The site was previously home to a used car lot.
Greenlane is the brainchild of Christopher Burch, founder and CEO of Burch Creative Capital. The company has invested in brands like Tory Burch and Voss Water. This is Burch's first food concept — but not his last, according to Greenlane's website.
The health-conscious restaurant offers salad bowls like the Ginger Sesame Crunch, which features edamame, shredded rainbow carrots, oranges, red cabbage, honey cashews and cilantro sesame ginger dressing. Wraps, pretzel sticks, slushies and more are also sold.
“We’re using very high-quality vegetables [and other items], but at the same time, we’re using a really effective way of managing labor and getting it to the consumer,” Burch said last year. “We work really, really hard on every cost and are working hard with the suppliers."
Greenlane is limited to drive-thru customers only, with enough room for two lanes. |
