Clearwater contractor adds Lakeland office

A Clearwater contractor that specializes in health care and education construction has opened an office in downtown Lakeland.

Creative Contractors opened an office at 207 E. Main St. in a historic building in downtown Lakeland. The company has been active in Polk County for decades, first working on projects at Lakeland Regional Health in 1998. In addition to health care and education, the company also does public spaces, corporate properties, facilities for hospitality, parking and religious organizations.

Creative Contractors has over $175 million in annual sales volume, the company said.

Troy Powell, Creative Contractors vice president, will lead the Lakeland office. He has been with Creative Contractors since 2006 and counts numerous organizations among his clients, including Lakeland Regional Health, Saint Leo University and Pasco County Schools.

“I’m thrilled we’re establishing a physical presence in downtown Lakeland," Powell said in a statement. "There are a lot of exciting things happening in Polk County, and we look forward to supporting its continued growth.”

Creative Contractors' Polk County projects include the Carol Jenkins Barnett Pavilion for Women and Children and Harrell Family Center for Behavioral Health for Lakeland Regional Health, as well as Porter McGrath Senior Living Facility at Westminster Lakeland and the Manor at West Bartow.

Creative Contractors was founded by Alan Bomstein in 1974.
