A waterfront estate on Clearwater Beach has been listed for $37.5 million.

The 3,434-square-foot home sits on 42.57 acres at 1198 Mandalay Point and abuts Caladesi Island State Park. Mandalay Point is among Tampa Bay's most exclusive addresses. It is a private, gated community featuring 11 homes at the northern end of Clearwater Beach.

Mary Hickok of Coastal Properties Group/ Forbes Global Properties is the listing agent for the site. The owner is Clearwater philanthropist and hotelier Carolyn Hunter and her family, according to Pinellas County property records. The Hunter family built the home in 1987.

Each room has views of the Gulf of Mexico, the Intracoastal waterway or the southernmost tip of Caladesi Island. The home sits between the Gulf of Mexico and the Intracoastal and is accessible by either a boat or its private road.

The home is elevated 20 feet above sea level. According to the listing, the home has three bedrooms and four bathrooms. The property includes a two-car garage.

The living room opens to an atrium with 20-foot ceilings overlooking a heated lap pool and the bay. The pool, like the house, is raised and offers views of both the sunrise and sunset and the habitats of local wildlife.

The home also features protected dockage on the bay. The property is within walking distance of the Carlouel Yacht Club, which was established in 1934.
