Orlando home decor boutique to open in Water Street Tampa

An Orlando home decor boutique will open its second Florida location in Water Street Tampa.

Tidewater Home and Gift will open in a 1,200-square-foot storefront at 1040 Water St. on the ground floor of Asher, Water Street developer Strategic Property Partners said Tuesday. It is next door to Dwell Home Market, which announced a pop-up showroom in Water Street in September 2022.

SPP is controlled by Kirkland, Washington-based Cascade Investment LLC. Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik sold his share of SPP to Cascade in mid-2023.

Tidewater’s sister store, B Home, is in Orlando’s College Park neighborhood.

“Water Street provides a vibrant and walkable district with a unique blend of businesses and stellar events,” Todd Bennett, Tidewater owner and interior designer, said in a statement. “Its proximity to many key Tampa neighbors and landmarks is what drew us to this location.”

As a retailer, Tidewater is a minority among Water Street tenants; most of the district’s storefronts are occupied by food and beverage concepts. Two of those, Predalina and The Pearl, were recently added to the Florida Michelin Guide.

“Tidewater is the place to come, whether you’re looking for a few key pieces for your home or need an entire home design,” Bennett said. “From housewarmings, birthdays, engagements and all things in between, we can curate the perfect and thoughtful gift for your loved one.”
