Beach Park home sells for $5.5 million

A home on the Beach Park waterfront has sold for $5.5 million — the latest in a string of high-dollar transactions on Sandpiper Road.

The 6,018-square-foot home at 44 Sandpiper Road sold Nov. 30, according to Hillsborough County property records. The sellers were Michael and Ashley Wuliger; the buyers were Stefne McGinnis and Jason Paige, property records show.

The buyers secured a $1.52 million loan from Rocket Mortgage, according to property records.

Jennifer Zales of Coldwell Banker Realty represented the sellers in the transaction. Stephen Gay of Smith and Associates Real Estate represented the buyers.

Since June 2022, five houses on Sandpiper Road have sold for at or around $1,000 per square foot. Zales listed all five for sale.

"I am pleased to deliver another significant sale on Sandpiper Road," Zales said in a statement. "This home had the modern architecture that buyers are seeking in Tampa Bay. The sold price per square foot for a canal-facing property reflects a continuing upward demand for newer waterfront homes built to the latest codes."
