RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay unveils multimillion-dollar renovation The Hyatt, at 2900 Bayport Drive on the Westshore waterfront, says it has renovated its 14th-floor event spaces Skylark, which offers 3,400 square feet and 1,800 square feet of pre-function space, as well as its sister venue Starling, which is 1,932 square feet with floor-to-ceiling windows for water views.
The space was previously home to Armani's Restaurant.
The 444-key hotel is best known as home to Oystercatchers. In 2019, it sold for $145.8 million or $328,265 per key to Boca Raton-based IP Capital Partners.
The 550-square-foot Sandpiper and 625-square-foot Osprey rooms have been added to the second floor. Rooms in the Bay View, City View, Suites and villa-style Casita King and Casita Double room categories have also been renovated. Pickleball courts have been added, and a pool renovation is in the works.
