Developer secures $60M construction loan for suburban Tampa apartments

A North Carolina developer will build more than 300 apartments in The Estuary, a mixed-use development in Brandon anchored by Topgolf and Dave & Buster's.

Woodfield Development paid $10.5 million for 8.73 acres in The Estuary on March 25, according to Hillsborough County property records. The developer secured a $60 million construction loan from CIBC Bank on March 28, property records show. The site is west of Interstate 75 on Estuary Lakes Drive and Palm River Road.

Woodfield at the Estuary, as the complex is named in building plans filed with the county, will include 305 units in two five-story buildings. It will include a parking garage and surface parking as well as a clubhouse, fitness center and swimming pool.

CBG Building Co. is the general contractor on the project. Charlan Brock Architects of Maitland designed the complex.
