RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Outback Steakhouse co-founder buys Bayshore home from Tampa philanthropists Chris Sullivan, co-founder of Outback Steakhouse, paid $3.3 million for a townhouse that's part of condominium tower Alagon on Bayshore, according to Hillsborough County property records. The sellers were Les and Pam Muma, some of the Tampa Bay region's most prolific philanthropists. Les Muma is a co-founder of Fiserv Inc., a Fortune 500 technology company.
Teale Taggart Smith of Keller Williams South Tampa handled both sides of the transaction.
The sale closed March 14, according to property records, and appears to have been a cash transaction. Sullivan declined to comment on the purchase.
Sullivan and his wife, Sandra, own a penthouse in Alagon that's on the market for $4.75 million. They paid $2.2 million for it in 2013, according to property records. Sullivan previously made headlines when he sold a Davis Islands home for $4 million; that property was later sold to Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner Darcie Glazer Kassewitz and her husband, Joel Kassewitz for $10 million.
Tampa Bay's luxury housing market has remained strong through the first quarter. An Ohio buyer paid more than $1,400 per square foot for a Culbreath Isles home last week. |
