RETURN TO NEWS INDEX New 27-unit residential development proposed in North Pinellas City documents show that a series of parcels at 1050, 1052, 1054 and 1058 Sunset Point Road — owned by Abid Chaudry and Lumar Holdings LLC, which is linked to Luigi Novembre — may be redeveloped into Sunset Point Residences. Northside Engineering Inc. is the applicant.
The site is approximately 1.84 acres. Plans show a rectangular building that has two-story residences over a parking garage. There are an additional 18 parking spaces via enclosed garages on the east and west property lines. At the north of the building are 12 uncovered spaces. There are 60 parking spaces on the site.
A driveway system circles the building and provides access to the parking garage. Plans show a pool and other amenities will be north of the building. Two retention ponds will flank the sidewalk south of the property near Sunset Point Road. The proposed residential development will be 725 feet west of the Pinellas Trail.
According to the property appraiser, several single-family homes and duplexes are currently on-site. A representative from Northside Engineering Inc. could not be reached for comment.
The property is approximately 0.2 miles from Edgewater Drive Park and the Pope Channel.
It is just a few parcels away from the Serena by the Sea condominiums at 1020 Sunset Point Road, which sold out in October 2022. Following the success of the condominiums, Clearwater-based Valor Capital has launched a new project, a townhouse development next door at 1028 Sunset Point Road. |
