Tierra Verde estate enters market at nearly $14 million

A waterfront Tuscan-style estate in Tierra Verde has hit the market at $13.995 million.

The home at 1571 Oceanview Drive is more than 12,000 square feet and has seven bedrooms, eight baths and three half baths. It also includes a library, two offices, a wine cellar, gym, elevator and a four-car garage.

Designed by architect Alberto Alfonso, the building resembles a Tuscan farmhouse like those found in Strada di Borgo Pretale. The property is marketed exclusively by Robyn Gunn of Premier Sotheby's International Realty's St. Petersburg office.

The owners — along with Alfonso’s uncle — researched the Tuscan countryside to capture the essence of the local architecture. The main level of the house has an open floor plan with a living room, kitchen, casual and formal dining rooms, offices and a guest suite. The upper level has six en suite bedrooms and a library. The lower level has storage rooms, the gym and wine cellar.

“This stunning Gulf-front estate showcases true artisanship and genuine attention to detail among thoughtfully designed spaces,” Gunn said in a release. “A once-in-a-lifetime offering, it also presents a rare opportunity to own a custom home in one of Tampa Bay’s most highly desired communities.”

Some unique details include Douglas fir beam and plank work, solid mahogany doors and a Corton limestone spiral staircase. Outside there are covered lounging and dining areas, a firepit surrounded by a moat and a pool. Across from the property is undevelopable land owned by Pinellas County.
