Tampa Airport Marriott finishes multimillion-dollar renovation

Tampa Airport Marriott has completed a multimillion-dollar renovation of its event and meeting space.

The 298-room property opened in 1973 inside Tampa International Airport. It has 25,416 square feet of meeting and event space, including 17 meeting rooms, according to a release.

The renovation included a design concept created by CRA Design of Los Angeles, according to Scott McClinton, the hotel's general manager. The color palette has grays, blues and browns and incorporates curved forms, open colonnades and natural woven materials.

Enhancements also include new carpet, vinyl and paint; new meeting room tables and chairs and pre-function furniture, the release said.

Meeting attendees can see TPA terminals, including planes taking off and landing, from the pre-function space.
