RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Vintage cocktail bar headed to St. Pete’s Grand Central district The company — which is behind The Avenue, Dirty Laundry, No Vacancy, Good Fortune and Park & Rec. — announced it is opening the cocktail lounge, called Lost & Found, at 2420 Central Ave. in a few weeks.
Hunger Thirst Group founder and CEO Stephen Schrutt said the concept will be a “great addition to the Grand Central district.”
“Lost & Found will be a vintage cocktail lounge, a bar and place that takes us back to a simpler time,” Schrutt said in a release. “It’s very approachable, with classic beers and drinks. It will feel like it’s your neighborhood cocktail lounge — that back-in-the-day spot where you might show up for just a drink but stay for a few more. It’s a feel-good spot, like jumping back in time.”
The lounge will have a large bar inside the facility and a smaller bar outside in the backyard. Cover bands and DJs will be on site each night, playing ’70s and ’80s music. It will “rotate local food trucks” on-site, and eventually, the cocktail lounge will have a “consistent rotation,” including a weekly retro movie night and a monthly thrift shop.
“The idea was instead of building a kitchen and serving food, it would be more fun to have food trucks as a way to work with other local businesses and be able to also give our guests variety,” Schrutt said in a release. “It’s a great way to keep guests from being limited to eating the same thing all the time.”
Lost & Found will open at 5 p.m. on weekdays and at noon Saturdays and Sundays. |
