Software company to open global HQ in Tampa's Westshore district

A newly created software company will establish its global headquarters in Tampa’s Westshore business district.

Advantive, formed by private equity firm TA Associates in June, is subleasing 10,000 square feet of office space in Corporate Center III, one of the office buildings along Boy Scout Boulevard that front International Plaza. The sublease runs through Aug. 31, 2025, according to a representative from the company.

Advantive provides software for specialty manufacturing and distribution businesses. It was formed by merging six brands: Advantzware, DDI System, Distribution One, InfinityQS, Kiwiplan and VIA.

“We created Advantive with the goal of pulling together the best technologies to truly transform the manufacturing and distribution industry and improve quality and revenue growth for our customers,” CEO Benoit de la Tour said in a statement. “Now, with the opening of our Tampa Bay office, we are excited to bring together top talent both locally and globally to drive innovation and profitability for our customers.”

De la Tour and other executive team members are relocating to Tampa, the company said. Advantive plans to hire 50 people in 2022 and grow to 150 employees in the next three years. The Tampa jobs will include roles in information technology, marketing, finance, customer relations and more. A representative said that while “the majority will be Tampa hires, there will likely be some remote hires as well.”

“Advantive encourages our employees to work in a way that suits them best, and we find that our employees resonate with a hybrid approach,” a company representative wrote in an email. “With the opening of the Tampa Bay office, we will be continuing this mentality.”
