Australian fashion brand opens in Hyde Park Village

The first location of Australian label Zimmermann on Florida’s west coast has opened in Tampa.

Sisters Nicky and Simone Zimmermann founded the now-global brand in Sydney, Australia in 1991, beginning with the fusion of fashion with swimwear, according to a release. Zimmermann has 14 stores in the U.S. and seven stores in Europe.

The store is located at 1620 West Snow Ave.

“It’s really exciting for us to open our first store in Tampa at Hyde Park Village. We’ve created a store experience that’s really unique – there’s little Australian touches that we are bringing to the space through the art and furniture,” Nicky Zimmermann, creative director and co-founder, said in the release.

Nicole Dee, general manager at Hyde Park Village, said the retail shopping center continues to transform.

“The doors are now open at Zimmermann, and we could not be more thrilled this world-renowned leader in fashion has joined Hyde Park Village,” Dee said in the release. “We are the hub for the local community and an international destination for travelers seeking out the best brands in both fashion and hospitality.”
