St. Pete is getting an Ulta Beauty store

St. Petersburg will soon have its first Ulta Beauty store.

Plans filed with the city show proposed renovations for the former Pier One in west St. Petersburg at 2030 Tyrone Blvd. N. The store is in the Crossroads Shopping Center plaza along Tyrone Boulevard N and 18th Avenue N.

The Ulta will be 10,568 square feet. It will be the city's first Ulta location, though there are several throughout Pinellas County in Seminole, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Oldsmar.

The plans show the store will have a sales floor as well as a salon. Based in Bolingbrook, Illinois, Ulta claims to have had double-digit revenue growth in all but one year (2020) over the last decade.

The company announced in 2021 that it planned to expand by 50 stores per year for the next three years. Its average footprint is around 10,000 square feet; however, the company also has a partnership with Target, where smaller stores within Target stores are popping up across the country.

T.J. Maxx, Ross, Home Depot and Office Depot are among the shopping center's other major tenants.
