RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Ardent Mills opens new mill in Port Redwing The new mill will allow the brand to strengthen its supply chain, increase efficiency and product consistency, and expand the ability to meet customer needs, according to a release. The developer of Water Street Tampa filed plans in 2021 for the former site of the flour mill.
The new 150,000-square-foot mill can produce up to 1.75 million pounds of flour per day, with the location allowing access from rails, ocean and trucks.
“Harnessing data-powered technology, deeply rooted industry expertise and people-first practices, Port Redwing realizes our vision to be the trusted partner and meet our customers’ evolving needs,” said Port Redwing Plant Manager Steve Neely in a statement.
The facility’s 10 acres includes the mill, grain storage elevator and cleaning house, and an office and multiple packaging, warehouse, and storage locations.
The mill will also execute a five-year, paperless, zero-waste and energy-efficient production plan.
