SkyCenter One, the office tower at Tampa International Airport, has signed its newest tenant.

Kansas City-based VanTrust Real Estate said Simply Healthcare Plans Inc. will join OPSWAT Inc. at SkyCenter One and the two businesses will occupy a combined three floors of the 275,000-square-foot building.

The seventh and eighth floors will be filled by Simply Healthcare, a health maintenance organization for those enrolled in Florida Healthy Kids programs, Medicaid and Medicare. Tampa-based OPSWAT, a cybersecurity company, will relocate its headquarters and more than 100 employees to the ninth floor.

“Between the airport’s rapid growth and the variety of restaurant and entertainment options nearby, SkyCenter One will serve as a premier and convenient location for corporations, their employees and visiting executives,” Marc Munago, executive vice president of VanTrust Florida, said in a news release. “Interest in this office tower has remained robust. Achieving full occupancy — despite opening its doors less than a year ago — is within reach."

Both companies are expected to move in the third quarter of 2022, according to a release. They will be joining the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority, Avison Young - Florida LLC, J.E. Dunn Construction Co., Flad & Associates Inc. and WSP USA Inc. as tenants in the SkyCenter One facility.

SkyCenter One has space on three floors still available, totaling approximately 32,400 square feet. The tower is adjacent to the airport’s main terminal and is the first commercial office building connected to the site. It’s linked via the SkyConnect train. An elevated pedestrian walkway connects the atrium of the building to the SkyConnect station at TPA’s rental car center.

SkyCenter One has a 1,291-space parking garage, conference centers, a fitness center, a café and a rooftop amenity above the atrium. It is part of TPA’s SkyCenter development, a mixed-use project that includes a hotel, an atrium with a roof terrace and potentially another office tower.
