Melting Pot's 'flex-casual' concept is coming to downtown Tampa

Melting Pot's younger, cooler sister restaurant is coming to downtown Tampa.

Melting Pot Social — which serves quick bites, melt-style sandwiches, flatbreads, salads and cocktails as well as the brand's signature fondue dishes — has signed a lease in Modera, an apartment building under construction in downtown Tampa. Melting Pot Social will occupy 3,742 square feet at the corner of North Ashley Drive and West Tyler Street, next door to Flatbread & Butter.

It will open in the second quarter of 2022. Brooke Williams of ACRE Commercial represented the developer of Modera, and Sandia Wasserman of Florida Retail Partners represented Melting Pot Social in the lease transaction.

Melting Pot and Melting Pot Social are both owned by Tampa-based Front Burner Brands. The concept debuted in Asheville, North Carolina in 2020, and downtown Tampa appears to be the brand's second location.

Melting Pot Social is built for higher business volumes than the original concept, which specializes in milestone occasions and private events. Melting Pot Social is a bar-forward, open-concept restaurant that's casual enough for after-work meetups and tapas-style dinners.
