RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Exclusive: Lakeland warehouse sells for $17.8 million to New York buyer A warehouse along Interstate 4 in Lakeland has sold for $17.8 million to INDUS Realty Trust.
The 139,500-square-foot warehouse at 2850 Interstate Drive was built in 2007, according to Polk County property records, and it sits on 9 acres. The seller was Maryland-based Knott Realty, which bought the land where the warehouse stands in 2006 for $1.6 million.
Cushman & Wakefield Inc.'s Rick Brugge, Rick Colon, Mike Davis and Dominic Montazemi, with support from Zach Eicholtz, represented the seller in the transaction. David Buckner of Buckner Commercial Properties also assisted in the sales process and provided local market expertise, Cushman said Monday.
“2850 Interstate Drive is a Class A industrial building well located in the heart of Lakeland, a regional and statewide logistics hub,” Brugge said in a statement. “Because of the high quality of construction and strategic location, the building has attracted and retained high-quality tenancy and will continue to do so.”
