Davis Islands' Fit Bowl Co. is coming to Sparkman Wharf

Fit Bowl Co., which launched in a 60-square-foot stall subleased from DI Coffee Bar, is coming to Sparkman Wharf.

Fit Bowl, which sells smoothies, acai bowls and vegan soft serve, will take over the shipping container most recently occupied by Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters. It’s an expansion for the Davis Islands shop, which opened in 2017.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Fit Bowl Co. and introduce a new dining concept that is sure to become another popular healthy option for the growing number of people who live in, work in and visit Water Street Tampa every day,” Susan Martin, vice president of retail and place management for Water Street developer Strategic Property Partners, said in a statement.

Martin said the deal with Fit Bowl is the seventh retail lease signed at Sparkman Wharf since January. The new concepts include Noble Rice, The Battery, BurgerFi, Coldwell Banker, Murph’s BBQ and 7th + Grove South at Sparkman Wharf. Water Street has also signed pizza restaurant 3 Corners, which will open on the ground floor of apartment tower Heron.

“Fit Bowl Co. prides itself on creating delicious meals and snacks crafted from wholesome ingredients and nutritious superfoods,” Trent McAree, owner of Fit Bowl Co., said in a statement, “and we look forward to becoming the new go-to spot to grab a quick, healthy bite (or a less-guilty treat) at Sparkman Wharf.”

Sparkman Wharf was previously known as Channelside Bay Plaza. SPP has completely overhauled the property, redeveloping a former movie theater into office space, reskinning the facades and adding an outdoor dining area with a craft biergarten.
