New boat-up restaurant to take over Treasure Island's Gators Cafe and Saloon

A St. Petersburg restaurant group is taking over the former Gators Cafe and Saloon in Treasure Island, with plans to open a boat-up bar and restaurant in the space.

Beachside Hospitality Group said Tuesday that it plans to open Crabby's on the Pass in the space after reaching a deal with landlord Greenleaf Capital. The new Crabby's location will open in April, Beachside said, and include "boat parking, live music, a fish filleting station for boaters, as well as a large indoor space for banquet parties, weddings and corporate events."

The location is the third that Beachside has acquired since April 2020.

Including locations in New Smyrna Beach and Daytona Beach set to open this year and the Treasure Island restaurant, Beachside has 11 locations.
