St. Petersburg's Flatbread and Butter has signed a lease for a street-level storefront in downtown Tampa.

The restaurant will occupy 1,093 square feet in Modera Tampa, an apartment building under construction at North Ashley Drive and West Tyler Street. It's slated to open in the second quarter of 2022 and will serve breakfast and brunch items as well as flatbreads and beer and wine.

Flatbread and Butter owner Jesse Muire and wife Rebecca based the restaurant on their favorite concepts from their time in New York City.

Brooke Williams and Willow Ferrelli with ACRE Commercial represented the landlord, developer Mill Creek Residential Trust, in the lease transaction. There's still 11,826 square feet of remaining retail space on the ground floor, according to ACRE.

Modera will include 375 apartments in eight stories. It is one of three multifamily buildings under construction on the northern end of downtown Tampa; there's also The Henry, a high rise geared toward University of Tampa students, as well as the long-awaited tower known as AER (Arts and Entertainment Residences).
