RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Here's where Four Green Fields will locate in the Channel district Real estate developer Darryl Shaw, who bought the property at 802 N. 12th St. in 2016, confirmed to the Tampa Bay Business Journal that Four Green Fields is moving to the warehouse. Four Green Fields announced on Dec. 2 that it is closing its pub on West Platt Street with plans to move to the Channel district but did not disclose a location.
"It's exactly what we wanted there," said Shaw, who is also CEO of BluePearl Veterinary Partners.
Shaw paid $3 million for the property, which was previously home to Coin Wrap Inc.
Colin Breen, owner of Four Green Fields, could not be immediately reached for comment Tuesday. The Platt Street location will close on Dec. 12, according to the restaurant's Facebook page.
Four Green Fields' new home is just across Adamo Drive from a site known in real estate circles as Gas Worx, which Shaw also owns. Shaw is planning to combine Gas Worx with the Tampa Park Apartments property and a site previously targeted for a Tampa Bay Rays stadium into one massive mixed-use development.
Shaw said Tuesday that his deal to buy Tampa Park Apartments is moving forward, and he is still planning to close on the property in early 2021.
"We want to be really thoughtful about the neighborhoods and how they integrate and connect," Shaw said, "and while yes we’ve got the Crosstown [Expressway] right there, you want it to feel as seamless as you can when you transition from one neighborhood to the other. We're super excited." |
