The University of South Florida will break ground on the Judy Genshaft Honors College in December.

The honors college, announced in May 2019 when outgoing USF president Judy Genshaft and her husband, Steve Greenbaum, donated $20 million for its new building, is a $54 million construction project, spokesman Adam Freeman told the Tampa Bay Business Journal.

Dallas-based Beck Group, which has a large office in Tampa, will be the general contractor on the project. It is a five-story, 80,000-square-foot building north of the USF Muma College of Business.

FleischmanGarcia and New York-based Morphosis Architects are the architects on the project.
