RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Businessman Bill Edwards selling compound on St. Petersburg’s Snell Island Harbor Edwards is asking $19,995,000 for the 1.73-acre compound on Brightwaters Boulevard NE listed Monday. The two-home property contains 10 bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and four half bathrooms. Over 18,000 square feet are heated.
The homes include the 18,350 square-foot “Villa Terranova,” a Tuscan Manor, and the 8,033 square-foot “Amanyara,” listed as a guest home. The property includes a protected waterfront area with space for multiple yachts, deep water boat slips, boat lifts and jet ski lifts. The guest house also includes an air-conditioned garage.
With styling reminiscent of Monte Carlo, according to the real estate listing, the houses were built by Winstar Homes in 2008.
In August 2019, he listed a west St. Petersburg three-acre property for $8.9 million that included the former headquarters of Edwards’ Mortgage Investors Corp. At the time, the former Tampa Bay Rowdies owner had listed another Snell Isle house.
Dania Perry, the listing agent, noted the compound’s waterfront location and described the property as “unique” for the local area.
Edwards, 75, said he listed the property in an effort to downsize as he grows older. The decision to sell was “bittersweet,” he said.
“We love it but it’s time for us to move on,” Edwards said.
