TAMPA - Paloma's, a boat-up restaurant, is planned for a 1.6 acre site in Westshore Marina District. The district's master developer, BTI Partners, recently sold the parcel for $2.425 million to D&G WMD, LLC. Its principals, David and Ginger Willis, will team up with restaurateurs Scott and Karina Tashkin to own and operate the restaurant.

Open from morning to night, Paloma will have an elevated dining room with a view of the district's 150-slip marina; a waterfront bar and pavilion; and a second-level patio for private special events. The Tashkins operate the Getaway, a popular bayside tiki bar on the St. Petersburg side of the Gandy Bridge.

In addition to the restaurant, the district will include a salon, juice and coffee bar, and a grocery. Several hundred people already live in apartments and townhomes in the district, where three condo towers also are planned.
