Luxury Tampa high-rise 500 Harbour Island sold for $103.45 million
The price is by far the most paid per unit for a Tampa Bay apartment community

TAMPA - 500 Harbour Island, a 235-unit apartment community on the eponymous island near downtown Tampa, has sold for $103.45 million. That works out to $440,213 per unit, the highest price ever paid per unit for a rental community in the Tampa Bay area.

The financial services firm Northwestern Mutual bought the 21-story property, which was completed in 2017 and offers studio, one- and two-bedroom units that average 1,087 square feet. Amenities include a concierge, an amenity deck with skyline views, a bocce court, a private dog run with washing station and an infinty pool.

The previous record for highest per-unit price was $352,793 for Camden Pier District, a 358-unit tower in downtown St. Petersburg, which sold for $126.3 million last year.
