Tampa Hilton Downtown sold to Chicago firm
The 18-story hotel, last sold in 2016, originally was a Hyatt.

TAMPA - The Hilton Tampa Downtown, a 520-room, full-service hotel in the heart of downtown Tampa, has sold to Walton Street Capital, a Chicago-based private equity firm.

The sale price was not disclosed, but the18-story hotel at 211 N Tampa St. last sold in 2016 for $101 million. Built in 1982, the hotel was fully renovated when it was converted from a Hyatt to a Hilton in 2013.

The brokerage HHF marketed the property on behalf of the seller, CrossHarbor Capital Partners LLC of Boston, which spent millions of dollars in further improvements that were completed in 2017.
