RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Downtown Tampa hotel sold for $27.3 million Greenwich, Connecticut-based Starwood has acquired the Courtyard by Marriott in downtown Tampa for $27.3 million in a deal that closed in late August, according to a Hillsborough County deed filed Sept. 7.
The seller, Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group, paid $16.9 million for the hotel in 2014.
The Courtyard has a total of 141 guest rooms - 125 rooms and 16 suites, as well as 900 square feet of meeting space. The price per key breaks down to $193,617.
It was built in 1998, according to property records.
In May, Noble Investment Group bought the Residence Inn in downtown Tampa for $24 million.
In downtown St. Petersburg, the historic Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club sold in late August to a group controlled by Tampa Bay Buccaneers co-owner Bryan Glazer for $188.3 million or more than a half-million dollars per key. |
