RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Midtown Tampa reveals its first office building, Midtown One, and partnership with Atlanta developer Bromley Cos. on Wednesday revealed new renderings and details of Midtown One, which is seven stories and 140,000 square feet. It is slated to begin construction speculatively in early 2019, part of Tampa's first wave of post-recession multitenant office development.
Other projects are slated to begin in the same time frame, including the office space within downtown's Water Street development and the 53-story, mixed-use Riverwalk Place.
Midtown One will feature an 1,850-square-foot rooftop deck as well as a second-story pedestrian bridge connecting it to a parking deck. The asking rental rate is $40 per square foot - full service - and includes parking. Offices at Midtown will include four parking spaces for every 1,000 feet leased.
Jim Meyer - "one of Atlanta's most respected developers," according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, a sister news organization - is partnering with Bromley on the office space. Meyer is the second developer to partner with Bromley on Midtown; Charlotte-based Crescent Communities is also a partner on the 400 multifamily units within the project.
"There couldn't be a more ideally located mixed-use development than right here in this vibrant, urban core,†Meyer said in a statement. "From the building's design to unsurpassed amenities for office tenants, Midtown will rival the best live, work and play destinations in the country.â€
The newest details show that the project has been tweaked since August, when Bromley announced Tampa real estate veteran Robin Bishop would spearhead its office leasing, beginning with what was then described as the 10-story, 176,000-square-foot Midtown West. |
