Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown completes renovations

The Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Downtown held a grand-reopening this week after completing extensive renovations. The hotel now has updated guest rooms, bathrooms and public spaces, according to the hotel's management company, McKibbon Hospitality.

Renovations, which totaled $2 million, began in June, and include furnishings, tile and carpet and meeting room technology.

The hotel is located at 102 E. Cass St. It was bought in September by Connecticut-based Starwood Capital Group, for $27.3 million. McKibbon manages 12 other hotels in Tampa Bay, the bulk of which are in Tampa.
