A San Diego firm has picked up a Tampa apartment property for more than $65 million.

ConAm 2017 Multifamily Opportunity Fund paid $65.75 for Audubon Village, a 477-unit apartment development at 5830 Memorial Highway in the Rocky Point area.

The purchase price breaks down to $137,840 per unit.

The seller, Atlanta-based Cortland Partners, paid $41.9 million for the property in 2013, according to Hillsborough County property records.

Audubon Village, built in 1989, one was of the first properties Cortland bought in the Tampa Bay market. Cortland acquired Audubon Village and Preserve at Deer Park at the same - its official entrance into the Tampa market - and planned to spend $13 million renovating both properties.
