Feld Entertainment CEO sells off Harbour Island condo

The CEO of Feld Entertainment Inc. has sold off a condominum in downtown Tampa for nearly $2 million.

Kenneth J. Feld sold his 16th story condo in the Grandview tower for $1.975 million in a deal that closed May 24, according to a Hillsborough County deed filed Friday.

Rick C. Brandt was the buyer. The 3,952-square-foot condo has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, according to Hillsborough County records. The Grandview was built in 2003.

While the price - it breaks down to $500 per square foot - is high for downtown Tampa, it's still below the $2.4 million Feld paid in 2006, according to Hillsborough property records.

Feld, who also has a residence in the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, told the then- St. Petersburg Times in 2010 that he lived in the Harbour Island condo for six months out of the year.

A spokesman for Feld Entertainment could not immediately be reached for comment Monday afternoon.

Residential development in downtown Tampa has been dominated by apartments in recent years, though brokers think that demand for condos is beginning to push prices high enough to justify new construction.

The success of condo development in downtown St. Petersburg, too, is setting a precedent of success that some think could convince developers to explore condos in Tampa's urban core.
