RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Gulf front home on Anna Maria Island sold for $3.6 million The home at 101 Palmetto Ave., which is on the Gulf of Mexico, has sold for $3.6 million or $740 per square foot, Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate announced Friday.
The home was built in 2015 as part of a three-home community. It was developed by a corporate entity tied to Joseph Acebal and Richard Mikles, the co-founders of Ideal Image Development Inc. Acebal and Mikles recently sold off another home on Longboat Key for $7 million.
A corporate entity tied to Ed Crenshaw, the CEO of Publix Super Markets Inc., owns the house next door, according to Manatee County property records. He paid $2.5 million for that home in January 2015.
Charles and Gabe Buky of Coldwell Banker's Longboay Key office represented the buyer and seller in the transaction.
Coldwell Banker did not disclose the buyer, and a deed has not yet been filed in Manatee County.
The home features "hand-scraped hardwood floors, cathedral ceilings and custom moldings to create a balance between modern design and coastal elegance," according to Coldwell Banker.
The property also features a private walkway to the beach and a heated saltwater pool and spa. Click through the photos for a tour of the home.
"The demand for high-end, luxury properties on Anna Maria Island is strong,†Charles Buky, sales associate, said in a statement. "The quality construction and unobstructed views of the Gulf are what made this property so unique. This small three-home community is very dynamic and was a hidden gem.â€
