A Longboat Key mansion has been sold for $6.2 million after being on the market for just more than three months.

The home, at 3331 Gulf of Mexico Drive, is 5,264 square feet. It includes a grand two-story living room, gourmet kitchen, study and private master suite on the main floor. On the second level, there's a second master suite, two terraces and three guest suites.

The purchase price breaks down to $1,177 per square foot. The home, built in 2011, was listed at $6.395 million by Tom Delaney of the St. Armands Circle office of Michael Saunders & Co. Bruce Myer of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate represented the buyer in the transaction.

The seller was John J. Harned Jr., according to Sarasota County property records. Harned is the owner of Indian River Transport, a food logistics company headquartered in Winter Haven.

The buyer was not disclosed. A deed for the transaction has not yet been filed in Sarasota County.

In early February, a nearby speculative mansion on Longboat Key sold for $7 million.
