Sarasota home fetches nearly $7 million

A waterfront home with sweeping views of downtown Sarasota has been sold for $6.825 million.

At 1459 Bay Point Drive, the home is situated between the Harbor Acres neighborhood and the downtown bayfront.

The price breaks down to nearly $875 per square foot.

The home has four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, a pool and a spa, according to Sarasota County property records.

Michael Saunders & Co., a Sarasota-based brokerage house, announced the sale on Tuesday. Michael Saunders agents Kim & Michael Ogilvie listed the property. Bruce Myer with Coldwell Banker represented the buyers, who were not disclosed. A deed for the transaction has not yet been filed.

Merry and Stanley Williams were the sellers, according to property records.

The sale is the second highest in Sarasota-Manatee year to date, according to Michael Saunders.
