Hampton Inn breaks ground next to future Laser Spine HQ

Avion Park, a mixed-use complex in the heart of the Westshore Business District, has been undergoing a flurry of development lately.

That's about to intensify as Tampa-based McKibbon Hotel Group held a ceremonial groundbreaking Monday for a new Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton, going up next door to the future corporate campus of Laser Spine Institute, which is well into construction.

The 178-roomer - eight floors and 110,250 square feet - will join three other McKibbon hotels in the immediate vicinity: TownePlace Suites, Homewood Suites and Hilton Garden Inn.

The Laser Spine Institute's new HQ played an important role in McKibbon's move to add another product in Avion Park.
