New mixed-use development in the works in North Hyde Park

A mixed-use development with retail space and townhouses is in the works in North Hyde Park.

St. Petersburg-based Cardinal Point Management is proposing a mixed-use development at 301 N. Rome Ave., with 6,700 square feet of small-shop space and 23 townhouses.

The retail space would front North Rome Avenue, while the townhouses would line North Fig and North B streets, according to plans filed with the city.

There is a church on the site, which is just south of NoHo Flats, an apartment community completed in summer 2014 and sold in September for more than $57 million.
