RETURN TO NEWS INDEX Parkway sells off Amscot's corporate headquarters building in Westshore Parkway Properties Inc. (NYSE: PKY) has sold that building - Westshore Corporate Center at 600 N. Westshore Blvd. - to New York-based private equity firm Angelo, Gordon & Co. for $28.2 million, according to a Hillsborough County deed filed Monday.
The price breaks down to $160 per square foot. Parkway, a real estate investment trust based in Orlando, paid $18.9 million or $107 per square foot for the building in 2012, according to property records.
The building, at 600 N. Westshore Blvd., was built in 1989.
In 2014, Parkway invested heavily in the Tampa office market, buying Corporate I, II and III, paying $238 million or $244 per square foot for the office buildings that surround International Plaza.
The moves are in line with Parkway's strategy of focusing on trophy properties in the best submarkets throughout the Sunbelt. |
